My journey to becoming a therapist began over 25 years ago as an undergraduate at Texas Tech University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After graduation, I spent 16 years teaching middle and high school students—many of whom were at risk or navigating difficult family and life circumstances. Those years in the classroom shaped my deep appreciation for the resilience of young people and the importance of strong, supportive families.
Inspired by my experiences, I returned to graduate school and earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amberton University in 2023. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with a variety of age groups - from preteens to older adults and all ages in between, as well as couples, and families, helping them navigate life’s challenges and strengthen their relationships.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in family systems theory, attachment theory, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I believe in meeting clients where they are and collaborating to determine which therapeutic modalities best fit their needs and goals. I am also trained in EMDR for trauma work and integrate art-based therapy techniques for clients who benefit from creative and expressive approaches to healing.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting, watching football, and spending time with my husband and our 16-year-old son.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: real healing happens through connection, compassion, and curiosity. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your story, gain clarity, and take steps toward meaningful change.
